Suggested Course Concentration
The master's degree in Early Childhood Education is a 36 hour program, designed to provide students with a background and advanced study in early childhood education. Coursework in this master's degree will not completely fulfill the requirements for Texas EC-4 or Special Education teacher certification. Students may combine this coursework with Graduate Teacher Certification. The suggested course sequence is for those individuals with an interest in working with infants, toddlers, preschool and primary age children with disabilities in educational and family based settings. The semesters the courses are offered are noted in parentheses.
