Honoring our veterans
Veterans Day November 11, 2001
Nov. 12, 5-9 p.m. at participating Golden Corral restaurants, in cooperation with the Disabled
American Veterans. All veterans and active duty military personnel will receive a free dinner buffet.

Nov. 11 at 9:30 a.m. at the Houston VA National Cemetery at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive in
Houston. The theme is "Vets Honoring Vets - Past, present, and future." Local units of "Sons of
Union and Sons of Confederate Veterans" members, unit members from other wars, future ROTC, JROTC,
LROTC units, scouting representatives and other youth organizations will participate.
Bob Boudreaux, Vietnam veteran and KTRK-TV weekend news anchor, will be the keynote speaker, and the Arabia Shrine
Temple Band will provide music. There will also be a rifle and cannon salute, and a bugler will play
taps.
The event is sponsored by The National Cemetery Council of Greater Houston Inc. and The Houston
National Cemetery. It is open to the public at no charge. For more information, call The Houston
