I would like to clarify some information regarding the Evacu-tracks we have available in the Bayou Building used for evacuation down stairways in case of emergency.

The training that was held was for those persons who will do the evacuation, not the person needing the evacuation. There are hall monitors throughout the building to ensure a safe evacuation.

All police officers and health and disability personnel are competent to use the Evacu-track. It's really quite simple and very safe.

As indicated in the article on Nov. 11, Sean Murphy, in the Disability Office, can provide more information or a trial run if requested.
