Security tightens in wake of war

With the commencement of war in Iraq, the security on the UH-Clear Lake campus has tightened up.

William Staples, president of UH-Clear Lake, recently released a university-wide e-mail stating, "I want to reassure you that UH-Clear Lake is committed to maintaining a safe and secure campus environment."

Staples outlines budget principles and options

The dwindling economy is devastating state education budgets across the nation, affecting 40 out of 50 states, while Texas' shrinking revenues is causing statewide monetary upheaval at universities, including UH-Clear Lake.

Slashed budgets remain at the forefront of UH-Clear Lake discussions, battling the financial crisis emergence and planning for what still remains undetermined.

Unauthorized posting alleges sexual harassment

An anonymous person posted unauthorized fliers on campus accusing a faculty member of sexual harassment March 13.

The UH-Clear Lake Police Department is involved in an ongoing investigation of the incident. To date, no suspects have been found.
