Dear Gabby:
I want to ask this girl out, but don't have the guts yet. Any easy way I could get a date with her? She's in two of my classes, so I see her very often.
-Shy Guy

Dear Shy Guy:
Ahh, the awkwardness of asking someone on a date! Since she's in two of your classes, this gives you the perfect opportunity to get to know her before you ask her for a date. If you don't know how to break the ice, ask if she wants to join your study group. If you don't have a study group, then organize one. She'll be impressed with your study skills, and this will give you the chance to get to know her outside of class. When you ask her what her favorite restaurant is and she tells you, ask her if she would like to go with you Saturday night. That's your opener and pretty soon, you'll have plans for the weekend!

Dear Gabby:
I'm trying to lose weight to fit into a formal dress for a wedding that is coming up. I need to lose ten pounds. Any quick fix to get rid of the weight?
-Feeling Fat

Dear Feeling Fat:
I hate to see people fretting about their weight. If you do need to lose weight I suggest you do it the healthy way, avoiding pills and fad diets. I actually used a generic form of Metabolife two years ago and didn't heed the warnings of taking the pills with caffeine. As a result, I could literally feel my heart pumping too fast. It was scary. Instead, eat three balanced meals and do at least thirty minutes of cardiovascular exercise per day. Cardio helps jump start your heart; boosting your metabolism and helping you lose weight. Drink lots of water and eat healthy snacks, like fruits and veggies. Avoid the fried stuff! Good Luck!
